About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Higher Camera Man to join our dynamic media and public relations team. With a rich history dating back to 1971, OAUTHC remains a leading federal tertiary health institution committed to excellence in healthcare delivery, medical education, and research in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in documenting institutional events, medical milestones, and public awareness campaigns.
Key Responsibilities- Operate professional video and still cameras to capture high-quality footage of hospital events, surgeries, conferences, and documentaries.
- Collaborate with the Public Relations unit to conceptualize, shoot, and edit compelling visual content for internal and external communication.
- Ensure proper lighting, sound recording, and equipment maintenance during all production sessions.
- Manage digital media archives and ensure timely post-production editing for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Stay updated with modern cinematography trends, equipment, and editing software to enhance institutional media output.
- Candidates must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication or Public Relations.
- Must possess an additional Diploma or Certificate in Cinematography.
- Must provide evidence of completion of, or exemption/exclusion from, the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
