About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc, a subsidiary of Africa's leading business conglomerate, is looking for a skilled and dedicated HEMM Operator to join our dynamic operations team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our production process by operating heavy earth moving machinery, including dumpers, excavators, and drillers, while strictly adhering to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Perform comprehensive daily safety, pre-operational, and maintenance checks on machinery.
- Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment as scheduled or required to maintain optimal performance.
- Ensure all heavy equipment is securely stored at the end of shifts.
- Participate actively in the routine maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery.
- Recommend necessary maintenance or repairs promptly to the Shift Coordinator.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and report any hazards immediately.
- Perform any other related operational duties as assigned by the Shift Engineer.
- Possession of a Trade Test or its equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
- A minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in operating heavy equipment such as dumpers, excavators, and drillers.
- Must hold a valid Class H Driver's License.
- Strong commitment to operating required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Good oral and written communication skills with strong teamwork abilities.
