About the Role
Aldelano Organic Foods is pioneering clean green farming through hydroponically grown, organic greenhouse produce. We are currently seeking a skilled, hands-on Heavy Duty Generator / HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer to join our dynamic agricultural facility in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will independently diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, execute preventive and corrective maintenance, and guarantee the uninterrupted operation of our core farm infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Service, troubleshoot, and repair diesel generators (15 kVA to 30 kVA and above), including engines, fuel systems, alternators, AVRs, and automatic transfer switches.
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, split-units, and industrial air conditioning units, managing compressors and refrigerant recharges.
- Maintain commercial refrigeration units, cold rooms, and chillers to prevent product spoilage and ensure precise temperature controls.
- Perform general mechanical upkeep, including water pumps, motor-driven equipment, and routine facility inspections.
- Develop robust preventive maintenance schedules while strictly enforcing workplace safety standards, lockout/tagout protocols, and accurate reporting.
- HND or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial experience maintaining heavy-duty generators, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
- Strong working knowledge of generator brands like Perkins, Cummins, and Caterpillar, alongside cold-room management.
- Proficiency in reading technical schematics and utilizing diagnostic tools like multimeters and manifold gauges.
