About the Role
Fact Base Consulting is actively recruiting a dedicated and vigilant Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer on behalf of our client. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining rigorous safety standards across industrial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and protecting personnel and equipment on-site.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that heavy-duty vehicles are properly wedged before the commencement of offloading and loading operations.
- Review and sign off on Permit to Work (PTW) logs before the start of maintenance activities or civil works.
- Enforce strict adherence to the site speed limit (maximum 10 km/h) for all incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Ensure spilled plastic pellets and trimmed waste are cleared immediately using anti-slip protocols to prevent forklift skidding and slip injuries.
- Act as the certified on-site first-aid commander during shifts, administering immediate care and managing emergency medical evacuation logistics.
- Conduct intensive floor and yard patrols throughout the shift to monitor driver, loader, and operator alertness.
- B.Sc or HND in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in HSE, environmental health and safety, facility management, or safety management.
- Possession of professional certifications (such as NISCN) will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial safety protocols, emergency response, and site risk assessment.
