About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University, a prestigious public institution established in 1962 in Ile-Ife, Osun State, is looking for a qualified and committed Health Assistant II to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering quality medical support services to our staff, students, and campus community within our expansive and renowned university environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist medical and nursing staff in providing routine patient care and basic health screenings.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in treatment rooms, wards, and medical equipment.
- Manage patient records, documentation, and appointment schedules efficiently.
- Provide prompt and courteous assistance to patients visiting the university health facilities.
- Support emergency response protocols and administer basic first aid as required.
- Perform other ancillary healthcare duties assigned by senior medical personnel.
- Possession of three O Level credits at one sitting or five credits at two sittings, including English Language.
- Minimum of 6 years of cognate experience in a recognized healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or emergency situations.
