About the Role
M-KOPA is a fast-fintech innovator empowering millions of customers across Africa with life-enhancing financial and digital products. We are seeking a strategic and driven Head of Workplace IT to lead our regional technology infrastructure, supporting a growing network of 2,500+ employees and 35,000+ agents.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end Workplace IT roadmap, spanning networks, telephony, end-user compute, identity management, and productivity tooling.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing, multi-country Workplace IT team while managing operational and capital expenditure budgets.
- Oversee physical office infrastructure, server rooms, vendor contracts, and enterprise-grade hardware lifecycle management.
- Partner closely with security teams to ensure robust endpoint protection, patch management, and low-friction access controls.
- Drive user adoption of core software suites and maintain rigorous SLAs for service desk performance.
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-site IT functions at scale across emerging markets.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated expertise in vendor negotiation, ISP management, and SaaS procurement.
- Deep technical understanding of networking, telephony, identity platforms, and endpoint security.
- User-focused mindset with a strong dedication to internal feedback and service excellence.
- Relevant professional certifications or degrees in IT-related fields are advantageous but not mandatory.
