About the Role

At Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, we are currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function from our operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies, optimize supply chain efficiency, and drive cost leadership across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with organizational objectives, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement operations for goods, services, and works in strict compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Manage critical supplier relationships to secure high-quality materials, favorable commercial terms, and competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate, administer, and monitor complex contracts, ensuring full legal compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Manage departmental budgets and implement robust cost-control measures without compromising on quality or operational timelines.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes and meet business demands efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, ISM, or APICS are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role within a large-scale manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in international procurement, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with uncompromising professional integrity.
