About the Role
Proten is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Operations to lead our client's manufacturing plant located at 9th Mile, Enugu. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee all plant operations, including Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehousing, Logistics, HSE, and Facilities, driving operational excellence and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and integrate all manufacturing and plant operations to achieve safety, quality, cost, and service targets.
- Oversee the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, aligning demand, inventory, capacity, and procurement.
- Drive continuous improvement, productivity, and Lean manufacturing practices across all multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure equipment reliability and maintain strict compliance with regulatory, environmental, and HSE standards.
- Manage operational budgets, optimize costs, reduce waste, and maximize asset and facility utilization.
- Establish operational KPIs, lead performance reviews, and present strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Master Degree or MBA is a strong advantage, along with professional certifications like Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or NEBOSH.
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership capacity.
- Proven expertise in FMCG, chemical, or industrial manufacturing operations with deep knowledge of ERP and analytics tools.
