About the Role

Steps In The Right Direction (Sitrid) is a leading 21st-century nursery and primary school dedicated to raising the next generation through innovative learning and strong Christian values. Located in Nigeria, we cater to children from 3 months to 11 years within a highly technology-integrated and nurturing environment. We are currently seeking an experienced, visionary, and compassionate Christian educational leader to serve as our Head of Nursery School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the nursery teaching team to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and early childhood education.
  • Ensure strict adherence to child safety, safeguarding, and protection policies, maintaining a secure environment for all learners.
  • Implement and oversee a robust curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework tailored to modern developmental needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate children's developmental progress using advanced tracking systems to identify areas for support and enrichment.
  • Champion the integration of digital tools and modern technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences in the nursery.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider school community.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance assessments to identify, drive, and implement continuous improvements in nursery provision.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
  • Valid teaching certification, including Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) registration or eligibility.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a nursery setting, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Expert knowledge of the EYFS framework and child protection procedures.
  • Strong digital literacy and competence in utilizing educational technology tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
