About the Role
Prime Atlantic Limited, a premier wholly Nigerian-owned oil servicing company established in 2003, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Mechanical: Rotating, Static, Lifting & Marine Equip. In this critical leadership role, you will direct the technical content of maintenance methods, oversee contractor performance, ensure stringent HSE compliance, and optimize equipment reliability across our operations to meet global industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage technical maintenance plans, spare parts coverage, and working procedures in alignment with company maintenance policies and reliability objectives.
- Supervise the implementation of contractor-prepared maintenance plans and act as the Technical Administrator for mechanical spare parts and SAP (UNISUP) data accuracy.
- Provide advanced technical expertise to resolve equipment failures, conduct performance analysis, and execute necessary modification studies.
- Coordinate the mobilization, logistics, and supervision of external vendors and contractors, ensuring full alignment with strict HSE standards.
- Contribute to budget preparation, cost control, technical contract administration, and the training and development of national engineering staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with at least 5 years specifically within the petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or leadership operational role.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of rotating, static, lifting, and marine equipment, including turbomachinery.
- Strong proficiency in SAP (UNISUP) and maintenance management systems.
