About the Role
Inspiration 92.3FM, a leading family radio station dedicated to uplifting spirits through inspiring content, music, and information, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Engineering to join our team in Lagos. In this vital full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for spearheading all technical and engineering operations, ensuring flawless broadcast delivery, superior sound quality, and maximum system uptime across our studio and transmission networks.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and maintain all broadcast infrastructure, including studio equipment, transmission systems, IT networks, and advanced audio processing tools.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team, coordinating resources and assigning tasks to support live shows, recordings, and remote broadcasts.
- Plan and execute critical technical projects, manage proactive maintenance schedules, and implement seamless system upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and swiftly resolve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with programming, production, and executive management to align technical priorities with overarching business goals.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry regulatory standards and workplace safety requirements.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field, combined with extensive practical industry experience.
- Proven background in engineering management, specifically overseeing broadcast or media technology environments.
- Strong team leadership skills with a track record of guiding, developing, and motivating technical personnel.
- In-depth knowledge of radio broadcast systems, audio routing, transmission chains, and IT infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with software development or scripting relevant to broadcast automation and systems integration.
