About the Role
Wexford College is a premium, co-educational private secondary institution providing comprehensive day and boarding options in Akure, Ondo State. Established in 2007, the college operates under the foundational motto of Intelligence, Integrity, and Industry, dedicating its curriculum to academic excellence, character development, and strategic leadership training. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of Boarding (Male & Female) to foster a nurturing, disciplined, and safe residential environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the school boarding facilities, ensuring a safe and conducive living environment.
- Monitor student welfare, health, discipline, and pastoral care in alignment with the school's core values.
- Coordinate boarding staff schedules, duties, and professional development to maintain high standards of residential supervision.
- Organize structured extracurricular activities, evening study sessions, and weekend programs for resident students.
- Serve as the primary liaison between parents, guardians, and school management regarding student boarding matters.
- Enforce school policies and maintain accurate records concerning student attendance, behavior, and incident reports.
- Minimum of a first degree or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
- At least 3 years of cognate experience working as boarding house staff or in a similar residential pastoral role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence with a demonstrated passion for youth development and mentoring.
- Ability to reside within the school premises in Akure, Ondo State.
