About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is seeking a visionary and experienced Head, OBGYN/Surgery to lead our healthcare partner's medical department in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative governance, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered healthcare services that meet international standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set, maintain, and audit rigorous standards of clinical care, patient safety, and healthcare governance across the OBGYN and surgery departments.
- Organize medical staffing, rotas, specialist clinics, and ward cover to guarantee seamless continuity and superior quality of patient care.
- Lead the diagnosis and management of complex clinical cases, offering senior decision-making oversight and guiding referrals.
- Supervise, mentor, appraise, and champion the professional development of consultants, medical officers, and trainee physicians.
- Collaborate effectively with diagnostics, pharmacy, nursing, and HMO managed-care units to optimize operational workflows.
- Contribute actively to departmental service planning, resource management, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Mandatory completion of housemanship/internship and NYSC, alongside a valid registrable postgraduate specialist Fellowship in OBGYN and Surgery.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of post-fellowship specialist experience, featuring at least 2 years in a departmental leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrable expertise in clinical governance, medical audit, quality assurance, and multidisciplinary team coordination.
