About the Role
Unified Payment Services Limited, Nigeria’s premier payments and financial technology company founded in 1997, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of IT Security. In this critical leadership role, you will spearhead our efforts to protect vital IT infrastructure, cloud systems, and sensitive financial data, ensuring maximum security and regulatory compliance across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT security strategy aligned with business objectives and risk profiles.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT security and incident response team.
- Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, risk management, and proactive threat monitoring.
- Enforce strict security governance and compliance standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Manage the deployment and optimization of advanced security infrastructure, firewalls, and endpoint protection tools.
- Drive organization-wide cybersecurity awareness programs and employee training initiatives.
- Evaluate and manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure robust third-party risk compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT security, with at least several years in a leadership role.
- Extensive expertise in securing both on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructures within financial services or fintech sectors.
- Deep knowledge of security frameworks, compliance regulations, forensic investigation, and disaster recovery planning.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly preferred.
