Imo Robotic Surgery and Oncology Centre Limited is a pioneering, state-of-the-art medical institution established through a strategic Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the Imo State Government. Located at the Imo State Specialist Hospital in Umuguma, Owerri, our centre is poised to become West Africa's premier hub for advanced minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive cancer care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Gynaecologist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive gynaecological care, including consultations, diagnostics, and advanced surgical interventions.
- Utilize state-of-the-art minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques in patient treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology and surgical teams to deliver holistic patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Participate in departmental training, research initiatives, and continuous professional development programs.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, clinical governance, and regulatory healthcare standards.
- Possess a relevant medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Hold a postgraduate fellowship or specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (e.g., FWACS, FMCOG, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in gynaecology.
- Valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive gynaecological surgeries will be an added advantage.
