About the Role
Local Buka is transforming food discovery in Africa and the world by connecting users to affordable and authentic local dining options. The platform helps people find meals based on their budget and preferences while supporting small food businesses. We are currently looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graphic Designer Intern to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will collaborate with our marketing and product teams to create engaging visual assets that elevate our brand identity and enhance user experience across various digital channels.
Key Responsibilities- Design eye-catching graphics for social media campaigns, marketing materials, and digital advertisements
- Assist in developing brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency across all company touchpoints
- Create engaging illustrations, banners, and promotional materials for our web and mobile platforms
- Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to brainstorm creative visual concepts for campaigns
- Edit and retouch photographs of local dishes, restaurant venues, and vendor profiles
- Stay up-to-date with current design trends and tools to continuously improve our visual output
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
- Proficiency in standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
- A strong portfolio showcasing creative thinking, typography, layout design, and illustration skills
- A keen eye for aesthetics, detail, and visual storytelling
- Excellent communication and time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- A genuine passion for food culture, technology, and supporting local African businesses
