About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal institution founded in 1970, is currently seeking a passionate and driven Graduate Assistant to join the Department of Nursing Sciences with a focus on Public Health. As a Graduate Assistant, you will support academic staff in teaching, research, and departmental activities, while laying a solid foundation for your academic career. Key Responsibilities- Assist senior academic staff in the delivery of undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
- Participate actively in departmental research projects and contribute to academic publications in public health.
- Grade assignments, quizzes, and examinations under the supervision of lead professors.
- Provide academic support and mentorship to undergraduate students.
- Perform administrative and departmental duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Possession of a First Degree in Nursing Sciences or Public Health with not below a Second Class (Upper Division).
- First Class degree holders are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated adequate aptitude and passion for teaching and academic research.
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to enroll for postgraduate studies (Master's and PhD) as required by university guidelines.
