About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria, the first Indian university established in Africa, is seeking a driven and academically brilliant individual to join our vibrant faculty as a Graduate Assistant in Pharmacology. Located on our sprawling campus in Masaka, Nasarawa State along the Abuja corridor, MIU is fully approved by the Federal Executive Council and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Key Responsibilities- Assist departmental faculty in preparing and delivering undergraduate lectures, laboratory practicals, and tutorials in Pharmacology.
- Grade assignments, quizzes, and examinations under the supervision of senior academic staff.
- Provide academic support, mentoring, and guidance to undergraduate students.
- Participate actively in departmental research projects, seminars, and academic community service.
- Perform administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department to ensure smooth academic operations.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division in Pharmacology or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme or possess a valid Letter of Exemption.
- Must be willing and able to enroll for a Master's degree program upon appointment, with the requirement to complete the degree within a maximum period of three (3) years.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a passion for academic research and teaching.
