About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria, the first Indian university established in Africa, is seeking a motivated and academically brilliant Graduate Assistant in Microbiology to join our dynamic faculty in Masaka, Nasarawa State. Key Responsibilities- Assist senior academic staff in conducting lectures, laboratory practicals, and tutorial sessions for undergraduate students in Microbiology.
- Support faculty members in grading assignments, quizzes, examinations, and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Participate actively in departmental research initiatives, academic seminars, and community development service projects.
- Provide mentorship, academic guidance, and administrative support to undergraduate students within the department.
- Perform other academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department or University Management.
- Possession of a Bachelor Degree with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division in Microbiology or a closely related relevant discipline.
- Completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme or possess a valid Letter of Exemption.
- Must be willing and ready to enroll for a Master Degree program immediately upon appointment.
- Commitment to completing the postgraduate degree within a stipulated timeframe not exceeding three (3) years.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills with a passion for teaching and academic research.
