We are currently recruiting a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development. Key Responsibilities- Assist senior academic staff in the delivery of undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory or field sessions.
- Participate actively in departmental research projects focused on agricultural extension, rural sociology, and community development.
- Help prepare teaching aids, instructional materials, and maintain academic records for undergraduate courses.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for departmental programs, seminars, and community outreach initiatives.
- Undertake higher degree studies (Master's and Ph.D.) in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development as part of professional career progression.
- Engage in continuous professional development by attending academic conferences, workshops, and publishing scholarly articles.
- Possession of a good honours Bachelor's degree with at least a Second-Class Upper Division (or equivalent) in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated evidence of strong academic potential, intellectual curiosity, and a keen interest in agricultural and rural research.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills suited for an academic setting.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and modern research data analysis tools.
- Evidence of NYSC discharge certificate or valid exemption letter.
