About the Role
Enhancing Financial Innovation & Access (EFInA) is a pioneering financial sector development organization dedicated to promoting financial inclusion in Nigeria. Funded by the UK Government's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we focus on four strategic pillars: Research, Innovation, Advocacy, and Capacity Building. We are currently looking for a dynamic Government Liaison Manager to champion our advocacy goals, build robust institutional relationships, and navigate the regulatory landscape to advance financial inclusion across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive government relations strategies to support EFInA's advocacy and financial inclusion objectives.
- Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key government agencies, regulatory bodies, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on legislative and regulatory developments impacting the Nigerian financial sector and digital financial services.
- Represent EFInA at high-level stakeholder meetings, policy forums, workshops, and industry conferences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align advocacy initiatives with organizational research and innovation outputs.
- Prepare policy briefs, consultation responses, memos, and executive reports for senior management and funding partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, International Development, Economics, Law, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. An advanced degree will be an added advantage.
- 6 to 8 years of proven professional experience in government relations, stakeholder engagement, public policy, or regulatory affairs within Nigeria.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian financial sector, regulatory frameworks, and government machinery.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and diplomatic skills with a track record of influencing policy outcomes.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy issues for diverse audiences.
