About the Role
One Acre Fund is a leading nonprofit organization supplying smallholder farmers in East Africa and West Africa with asset-based financing and agricultural training services to reduce hunger and poverty. We are seeking an experienced Global MEL Manager or Senior Manager to lead monitoring, evaluation, and learning across our Uganda, Nigeria, and DRC country programs, while owning the systems and operations that help our global team deliver high-impact evidence at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee MEL across Uganda, Nigeria, and DRC country programs by directly managing Country MEL Leads, reviewing analysis, and guiding reporting processes.
- Own the systems, operations, and standard operating procedures of the Global MEL team, driving adoption of project-management tooling and knowledge management frameworks.
- Build and run comprehensive onboarding, training, and capacity-building programs to ensure team resilience and operational consistency.
- Contribute to global MEL strategy, represent the department in international forums, and champion data-driven programmatic recommendations.
- Extensive experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, experimental evaluation designs, and mastery of Stata and R.
- Proven project management and change management skills, with the ability to roll out systems and standardize workflows across distributed teams.
- Strong background in knowledge management, structuring documentation, and information systems for dispersed teams.
