About the Role
ABNL Limited, a leading 100% indigenous oil and gas servicing company in Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and experienced Geophysicist III to join our dynamic geoscience team. Since 1992, we have delivered professional engineering and technical services to major exploration and production companies across the West African sub-region. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving our technical operations, ensuring safe and efficient project execution, and contributing to the continued growth of our indigenous energy sector footprint.
Key Responsibilities- Support and enhance 2D/3D seismic and wellbore acquisition programs across company operations.
- Interface with operating groups, technical specialists, and vendors to provide optimal seismic and borehole survey solutions.
- Deliver solutions that safely meet organizational goals, operational timelines, and technical commitments.
- Serve as a Formation Evaluation Specialist when required, driving advanced subsurface analysis.
- Apply geophysical techniques to interpret gravity, magnetic data, and unconventional plays.
- Utilize seismic attribute analysis, post-stack and pre-stack seismic inversion, and AVO to define structural and depositional environments.
- Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Geophysics.
- Previous proven experience in a closely related geophysical or geoscience position within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong background in Geology, Geophysical interpretation, and structural geology across diverse tectonic systems.
- Advanced Petrophysical analysis skills in Siliciclastic settings, alongside strong experience with carbonates.
- Proficiency in industry-standard computing applications, including Geology software and Petrel.
- Solid understanding of the Petroleum Geology of the local Nigerian and West African area.
