About the Role
Gemameg Company Nigeria Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Generator Operator to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining operational continuity by ensuring a reliable and uninterrupted power supply across our facility. We are looking for a hands-on professional who possesses strong technical acumen and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure continuous availability of stable power at the site through diligent monitoring and prompt response to outages.
- Perform routine daily maintenance of the generator set to prevent unexpected mechanical failures.
- Take regular utility and parameter readings to monitor optimal generator performance.
- Conduct daily fuel haulage and level checks to accurately ascertain remaining quantities and manage inventory.
- Perform daily gauging of generator oil and coolant levels to maintain peak operational standards.
- Troubleshoot and execute minor electrical repairs as needed.
- Minimum of Trade Test, OND, HND, B.Engineering, or related technical fields.
- At least 3 years of verifiable work experience operating and maintaining industrial generators in a similar industry.
- Demonstrated high-level experience in electrical repairs and general electrical troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to efficiently operate and manage soundproof generator sets.
- Strong attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety protocols.
