About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agribusiness with a strong presence in high-growth emerging markets. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven General Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely flow of materials and products across our extensive network while supporting our ambitious business growth and operational excellence objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including demand planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and standard operating procedures aligned with Olam Agri's corporate goals.
- Ensure seamless coordination with farm operations, hatcheries, production, quality, and commercial teams to support uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels, logistics costs, supplier performance, and service levels through data-driven decision-making.
- Lead strategic supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, vendor performance management, and comprehensive risk mitigation initiatives.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing supply chain teams while driving continuous improvement, automation, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or Agriculture with relevant supply chain exposure.
- Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics is a distinct advantage.
- 10 to 12 years of comprehensive experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 to 7 years in senior leadership roles like Supply Chain Head or Operations Head.
- Demonstrated experience in agribusiness or FMCG supply chains, with exposure to large-scale, integrated, or multinational operations preferred.
