About the Role

We are currently looking for an accomplished General Manager / Senior General Manager - Mechanical to spearhead our plant's mechanical maintenance and reliability operations, ensuring maximum equipment availability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership for all mechanical maintenance, reliability, and equipment performance activities across the plant.
- Drive equipment availability through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes.
- Manage major plant equipment, including crushers, raw mills, kilns, coolers, and material-handling systems.
- Lead major shutdowns, equipment overhauls, and capital improvement projects while maintaining strict budget and safety controls.
- Champion root cause analysis (RCA) and failure analysis to eliminate recurring technical bottlenecks.
- Oversee CMMS utilisation, spare-parts planning, and cross-functional collaboration with production and electrical teams.
- Build and mentor a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; postgraduate degrees or professional certifications are a strong plus.
- Extensive senior-level experience in mechanical maintenance and asset management within a heavy manufacturing or cement production environment.
- Proven expertise in managing major plant shutdowns, multidisciplinary teams, and complex maintenance budgets.
