About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to take full accountability for the daily operations of our state-of-the-art plastics packaging manufacturing facility in Nigeria. In this executive leadership role, you will drive professional discipline, high-urgency performance, and stringent adherence to process standards while managing the entire manufacturing lifecycle. Key Responsibilities- Oversee end-to-end plastic packaging manufacturing, including blown film extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and converting operations.
- Optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by proactively identifying bottlenecks and executing targeted downtime reduction strategies.
- Minimize material scrap, optimize raw material yields, and manage factory OPEX and utility consumption within approved budget limits.
- Ensure rigorous facility compliance with environmental, health, safety (EHS), and local regulatory mandates.
- Manage warehouse efficiency, inventory integrity, finished goods logistics, and enforce QA/QC protocols for food-safe and industrial packaging.
- Drive a performance-driven culture by establishing, documenting, and enforcing strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field (MBA is strongly preferred).
- 10 to 15 years of comprehensive experience in manufacturing operations, featuring at least 5 years in a senior management capacity within the Nigerian or West African plastics packaging sector.
- Expert technical knowledge of polymer characteristics, extrusion, molding techniques, and international packaging quality standards.
- Demonstrated mastery of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and 5S methodologies with proven change leadership capabilities.
