About the Role
Turnkey Africa Ltd is the leading pan-African insurance and bancassurance technology and services provider, developing end-to-end software solutions across 7 countries. We are looking for an ambitious Frontend Engineer to join our Evolve platform team, helping deliver seamless insurance operations for major clients like AIICO. This role is designed for candidates with foundational experience eager to grow in a supportive, collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain assigned screens and user journeys using Angular or Next.js, adhering to established design systems and coding standards.
- Integrate REST APIs, manage state and validation, and ensure responsive, accessible form experiences.
- Write and maintain unit and component tests, collaborating with QA teams to verify fixes and ensure high code quality.
- Investigate issues using browser developer tools and logs, escalating high-risk problems promptly.
- Apply secure frontend development practices and support release preparation under the guidance of senior team members.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical training through relevant projects or internships.
- Foundational proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern component frameworks like Angular, React, or Next.js.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative working style with clear communication skills.
- Exposure to automated testing tools, basic accessibility principles, or Java/Spring Boot is considered a strong plus.
