About the Role
Yomfield Nursery and Primary School, located in the serene environment of Tejumola Estate, Obantoko, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has been a beacon of quality education since September 1996. We pride ourselves on nurturing children from the cradle using the innovative play-way method to prepare them for future societal roles. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and qualified French Teacher to inspire our pupils and foster a love for languages from an early age.
Key Responsibilities- Teach the French language effectively to students across designated nursery and primary classes.
- Attend all assigned classes regularly, punctually, and maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Conduct regular class tests, periodic assessments, and practical projects while ensuring accurate grading and record-keeping for continuous assessment.
- Participate actively in afternoon session classes and school-sanctioned extracurricular activities as scheduled on the timetable.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate the French curriculum seamlessly into daily primary school learning activities.
- Must possess at least a B.Sc., B.A., or B.A.Ed. in French or related fields from a reputable institution.
- Must possess a minimum of 1 year of cognate experience teaching French to young learners.
- Demonstrated experience working as a French tutor or classroom instructor.
- Sound understanding of the Nigerian primary school curriculum and modern pedagogical approaches.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, strong conceptual abilities, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and function independently or as part of a team.
