About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a leader in the Nigerian manufacturing and agricultural sectors and the producer of the iconic Golden Penny brand, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Fleet Supervisor for Golden Transport Company. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless daily operation of our extensive transport network, supporting our commitment to efficient supply chain and logistics excellence across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily operations of assigned trucks and drivers to maximize fleet utilization and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inventory checks on assigned trucks and coordinate smooth vehicle dispatch.
- Facilitate the movement of non-operational trucks to the workshop for prompt repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure strict adherence to company transport policies, HSE safety standards, and regulatory procedures.
- Coordinate vehicle handovers and maintain accurate documentation of all onboard assets and accessories.
- Liaise closely with the Workshop Supervisor to track vehicle maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
- Promptly report, document, and manage road incidents, accidents, and vehicle breakdowns.
- Coordinate effective truck recovery operations and monitor driver performance to enforce compliance.
- Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) in any relevant discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in fleet operations, transportation, or logistics.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising drivers and coordinating vehicle dispatch.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital logistics tools.
- Strong supervisory, people management, and problem-solving abilities.
