About the Role
Genesis Group, a leading Nigerian conglomerate spanning hospitality, entertainment, and industrial catering, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Fleet Manager to optimize our transportation network. In this vital role, you will oversee our extensive vehicle operations to ensure safe, fully compliant, cost-effective, and highly efficient transport solutions that support our diverse business units across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the complete vehicle lifecycle, including procurement, registration, licensing, tracking, and strategic asset disposal.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules, manage mechanic workshops, and coordinate urgent vehicle repairs.
- Utilize advanced GPS telematics and Fleet Management Software to monitor asset utilization, optimize route planning, and improve dispatch operations.
- Enforce rigorous driver safety programs and ensure strict compliance with local and federal transportation regulations.
- Control operational expenses by meticulously tracking fuel consumption, spare parts inventory, insurance, and Total Cost of Ownership.
- Lead, train, and mentor drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and administrative support personnel to foster a high-performance culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations within Nigeria.
- Proven technical proficiency in using Fleet Management Software, GPS telematics systems, and fuel-tracking technologies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and financial management skills with a strong grasp of transport cost controls.
