About the Role
Scruples Resources, a leading consultancy and human resource development firm in Nigeria, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Fitting Work Coordinator for our operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless execution of piping and structural fitting projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across various industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and execute work instructions based on complex isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and comprehensive work packs.
- Fit, align, assemble, and meticulously prepare piping and structural components for precision welding or final installation.
- Verify critical dimensions, spatial orientation, clearances, and accurate fit-up prior to final connections.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized fitting equipment in strict compliance with safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with welders, riggers, quality inspectors, and site supervisors to maintain optimal project work progress.
- Identify and report any design discrepancies, material shortages, or non-conforming conditions to management immediately.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree, HND, OND, recognized trade qualification, or professional certification in a related discipline.
- Demonstrated industrial, construction, oil and gas, marine, or large-scale project experience is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of pipe and structural fitting techniques, drawing interpretation, and precise measurement tools.
- Commitment to maintaining exceptional quality standards, excellent teamwork, and adherence to workplace safety practices.
- Willingness to acquire role-specific statutory, technical, offshore, or safety certifications as demanded by clients or site standards.
