We are currently looking for a skilled Fishing Specialist to join our offshore operations team and ensure the swift recovery of lost tools and debris to restore well productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Assess complex fishing situations thoroughly using run records, impression block (LIB) results, and well data.
- Select appropriate fishing tools including wire finders, two-prong spears, overshots, magnets, go-devils, and hydraulic and spang jars.
- Write comprehensive fishing programmes with detailed contingencies and conduct comprehensive safety briefings with the crew before each run.
- Operate or directly supervise heavy-duty slickline units utilizing slick or braided line under demanding offshore conditions.
- Maintain precise operational logs for every fishing run and author detailed lessons-learned reports for continuous improvement.
- Provide expert technical advice on proactive measures to prevent lost-in-hole events during routine well interventions.
- OND, HND, or B.Sc in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven hands-on experience in slickline operations with a strong portfolio of documented fishing jobs.
- Valid IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Certification (Wireline Level 3 preferred) alongside standard offshore safety certifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in fishing tool design, selection, and advanced braided-line operations.
