About the Role
The Nigerian Navy invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Fireman. Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to fire outbreaks and emergency situations within naval bases and installations.
- Operate, maintain, and inspect firefighting equipment, vehicles, and safety gear regularly.
- Conduct fire safety inspections and educate personnel on preventive measures and hazard identification.
- Participate in rescue operations and collaborate with other security and emergency response units.
- Execute assigned routine duties and undergo continuous military and professional training.
- Possession of the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) or equivalent with at least 5 credits, including English Language.
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth, of good character, and free from any criminal convictions.
- Physical and mental fitness in accordance with Nigerian Navy recruitment standards.
- A basic firefighting and safety certificate will be a strong added advantage.
