About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a prominent leader in the Nigerian manufacturing and agro-allied sector and the force behind the trusted Golden Penny brand, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Financial Controller for our Agro-Allied Vertical. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure the utmost accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, driving strategic financial insights that support high-impact business decisions across our growing agricultural subsidiaries in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely management and statutory financial reports across the Agro-Allied Vertical and its subsidiaries.
- Oversee complex financial consolidation processes, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain effective internal financial controls, rigorous reconciliations, and compliance with ICOFR standards, Dynamics 365, and Hyperion systems.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on routine and complex transactions while ensuring adherence to local and international regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate successful external audits and manage proactive relationships with regulators, auditors, and key commercial stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. or HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Mandatory professional accounting certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, CIMA, or CPA.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, financial control, and accounting management within a structured corporate environment.
