About the Role

Rubels & Angels is a premier food brand dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences, from our signature crispy chicken and crunchy fish fillets to wholesome soup bowls and surprise trays. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Financial Controller to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this strategic role, you will take full ownership of our financial management, accounting operations, budgeting, and internal controls to drive profitability and support our ambitious expansion goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash management.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls, financial policies, and compliance procedures across the organization.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local regulations and standards.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business strategy and operational decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other financial institutions.
  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-reduction opportunities, revenue growth areas, and business risks.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and regular reports to executive management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree is an added advantage).
  • Professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven experience in financial management, preferably within the hospitality, retail, or food and beverage industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
