About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a driven and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and investment-related decisions to drive overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify critical business trends and variances.
- Build and maintain robust financial models covering revenue, costs, profitability, and valuation.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Conduct thorough actual versus budget variance analysis and evaluate overall business performance.
- Assist with investment appraisals, ROI analysis, business case development, and strategic pricing.
- Monitor key performance indicators and collaborate across departments to align financial goals.
- Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies.
- Support capital allocation, M&A analysis, and commercial paper or bond issuance processes.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis or corporate finance.
- Professional certifications or advanced degrees such as ACCA, ACA, CFA, or an MBA in Finance are a distinct advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and ERP/BI tools like SAP, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
