About the Role
Action Against Hunger | ACF Nigeria LTD/GTE is a leading global humanitarian organization dedicated to saving the lives of malnourished children and providing communities with sustainable solutions to hunger and safe water access. We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Finance Specialist to provide robust support to our mission’s financial strategy, budget management, and reporting frameworks in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to mission financial planning by reviewing financial plans, BFU balances, and general ledgers monthly for optimal cost efficiency.
- Participate in the development of annual financial assumptions, strategies, and yearly financial landings.
- Manage grant financials, budget analysis, donor compliance, and prepare accurate donor reports and budget proposals.
- Support compliance and risk assessment by monitoring internal financial controls, addressing audit recommendations, and ensuring adherence to Nigerian statutory regulations.
- Conduct capacity-building and training programs for finance and program staff regarding budgeting tools and organizational policies.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or budget management within an INGO or donor-funded environment.
- Strong knowledge of major institutional donor rules, compliance requirements, and Nigerian statutory financial regulations.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stress and juggle competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and conducting performance appraisals.
