About the Role
The People Practice is partnering with a prestigious multi-disciplinary advisory firm with a strong footprint in the Nigerian infrastructure space to hire an experienced Finance and Investment Research Analyst. In this pivotal role, you will support critical investment decisions through rigorous financial analysis, comprehensive market research, and advanced valuation work. You will evaluate high-potential investment opportunities, monitor dynamic financial markets, and produce insightful reports that shape our client's broader portfolio strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop robust financial models to evaluate ROI, capital investments, and optimal resource allocation.
- Conduct detailed financial and variation analyses, interrogating profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform comprehensive primary and secondary market research to identify emerging industry trends, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic indicators.
- Evaluate public and private market investment opportunities, preparing compelling investment memos, pitch materials, and sector outlooks.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, participating in management calls, due diligence processes, and investor meetings.
- Assist in formulating strategic plans, business models, and long-range financial forecasting to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, or infrastructure finance.
- Progress towards or completion of advanced credentials such as a CFA (Level 1 or higher), MBA, or Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and macroeconomic frameworks specific to African or emerging markets.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong project management capabilities.
