About the Role
The Elevation Church is seeking a dedicated and analytical Finance Associate to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will provide comprehensive financial and administrative support by maintaining accurate financial records, producing timely reports, and assisting with the general administration of the church's finance function. Key Responsibilities- Monitor and collate budgets and planned expenditure, ensuring all disbursements align with approved allocations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inflow reports, conduct account reconciliations, and handle multi-currency card transactions.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, banks, and auditors, while resolving internal financial queries.
- Prepare periodic financial statements, process transactions on ERP software, and maintain up-to-date accounting records.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset and Insurance registers, managing prepayments, accruals, and obsolete asset reporting.
- Provide end-to-end support during service offering counts and ensure data accuracy in service reports.
- Handle petty cash management, disbursements, and timely replenishment requests.
- Manage fixed deposits using Excel and ERP systems while tracking investment income and interest rates.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (HND holders must possess a Master's degree, ACCA, or ACA).
- Professional accounting certification such as ACA or ACCA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting and financial control experience.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, QuickBooks, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages.
- Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS, budgeting, cash flow management, and bank reconciliations.
