About the Role
Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, dedicated to improving the health of women and families worldwide. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Advisor to join our team in Nigeria to provide exceptional financial leadership, ensuring sound accounting practices and adherence to organizational and donor policies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for assigned Jhpiego projects in compliance with established systems.
- Oversee daily bank and cash management, including account reconciliations, variance resolution, and banking relations.
- Process and monitor receivables, payables, travel advances, and statutory tax remittances such as VAT, WHT, and PAYE.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Operations to facilitate internal and external audits and implement recommendations.
- Monitor cash flow, analyze monthly project accruals, and ensure all financial transactions are allowable, reasonable, and compliant.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a recognized equivalent.
- MBA in Accounting or a professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA is required.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant financial and accounting experience, preferably within an international NGO.
- Familiarity with USG and other institutional donor regulations, procedures, and requirements.
