About the Role
FMR Agency is recruiting a strategic and results-driven Finance & Accounts Manager to lead the finance and accounting function for our client in Jakande Estate, Isolo, Lagos State. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, financial controls, statutory compliance, audit coordination, and team leadership to protect company profitability and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure timely submission to management.
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgets while tracking actual expenditure against approved budgets.
- Monitor company costs, profitability, and gross margins, providing actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow management, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely statutory remittances, tax compliance, regulatory filings, and audit readiness.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the Finance & Accounts team to ensure high performance.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Utilize ERP systems and financial reporting tools to improve financial visibility and operational efficiency.
- Prepare financial forecasts, management reports, and business performance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ICAN (ACA), ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, taxation, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop high-performing finance teams.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
