About the Role
Jaza Energy, a pioneering last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and battery rentals for off-grid communities, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer (Solar Energy) to join our growing team in Anambra. In this vital contract role, you will be instrumental in maximizing energy uptime, optimizing system performance, and resolving technical challenges across our regional hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure continuous energy uptime and power availability through proactive system monitoring and rapid troubleshooting.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of solar panels, electrical wiring, inverters, and associated equipment.
- Support the setup of new hubs, ensuring seamless connectivity and conducting routine energy system maintenance.
- Collaborate with local teams and data analysts to diagnose complex technical issues and implement lasting solutions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and document all field intervention activities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on hub health and technical metrics for the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on engineering experience within the renewable energy, solar, or telecommunications sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, and electrical design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strict commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency in productivity tools including the MS Office suite and Google Workspace.
- High willingness to travel significantly within Nigeria and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
