About the Role

Jaza Energy is a pioneering last-mile energy company building innovative solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities. To support our rapid expansion across Nigeria, we are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer based in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, to manage technical operations, ensure energy uptime, and swiftly resolve regional issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure energy uptime and power availability at sites by monitoring systems and quickly diagnosing and solving technical issues.
  • Support the setup of new hubs, ensure connectivity, and perform routine hub energy system maintenance through travel or remote troubleshooting.
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated equipment.
  • Collaborate with local staff and the data team to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Document field activities and maintain accurate inventory records for hub equipment and product components.
  • Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical issues for submission to the Regional Service Engineer.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, supplemented by strong hands-on experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of technical or engineering experience within the telecommunications, energy, or related sectors.
  • Proven expertise in installing and maintaining energy systems, specifically solar and diesel setups.
  • Must-have technical skills include Solar Design, Solar Installation, Solar Inverter Maintenance, Electrical Installation, and Electrical Design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a firm commitment to HSE safety standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, Google products, and data analysis tools.
  • Passion for increasing energy access in off-grid communities and willingness to travel frequently.
