About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer specializing in Centrifugal Compressors to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee complex operations at client field sites, ensuring seamless installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our industry-leading equipment while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert technical advice and support to clients and craft labor during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Baker Hughes Centrifugal Compressors.
- Manage the unloading, site inspection, and foundation placement of compressors and major auxiliaries.
- Conduct precise geometric dimensional checks of foundations, equipment, and auxiliary skids, ensuring accurate positioning, leveling, and alignment.
- Perform comprehensive installation, commissioning, and startup of various centrifugal compressor models (MCL, BCL, PCL, and SRL) at customer sites.
- Execute minor and major equipment inspections, including the assembly, disassembly, clearance adjustments, and wear evaluations of bearings, seals, couplings, and diaphragms.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng), B.Sc, or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR a 3-year Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of industry experience.
- Extensive hands-on field experience with rotating equipment, specifically vertical and horizontal centrifugal compressors.
- Demonstrated expertise in the installation and maintenance of centrifugal compressors at customer sites with the ability to work autonomously.
