About the Role
Jaza Energy is the leading last-mile energy company building innovative solar energy charging stations and providing battery rentals in off-grid communities. To support our rapid expansion across Nigeria, we are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to drive technical excellence, maintain system uptime, and ensure uninterrupted power supply at our regional hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure maximum energy uptime and power availability at sites by monitoring systems and quickly diagnosing and resolving technical challenges.
- Support the setup of new hubs, establish reliable connectivity, and perform routine maintenance on hub energy systems through travel or remote troubleshooting.
- Oversee the professional installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated equipment.
- Collaborate closely with local teams and data analysts to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize overall system performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of field activities, hub equipment, and product component inventory records.
- Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical statuses for submission to the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on engineering experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, electrical installation, and electrical design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strict commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, reporting software, MS Office suite, and Google products.
- Ability to travel significantly within Nigeria and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
