About the Role
BluNet Internet Solutions Limited is a fast-growing telecommunications company dedicated to bridging the digital divide by delivering dependable, high-speed 4G LTE internet ranging from 1Mbps to 100Mbps to homes, enterprises, and public offices. We are currently looking for a skilled Field Radio Engineer to join our dynamic technical team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in expanding and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, superior signal quality, and ultimate customer satisfaction across all deployment sites.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and commission radio equipment, antennas, and related infrastructure at various field sites.
- Ensure full compliance with technical specifications and rigorous safety standards during all installations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot RF network issues, including signal interference and equipment faults promptly.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to maximize network uptime and hardware longevity.
- Conduct RF measurements and performance tests to optimize network coverage and capacity.
- Analyze and adjust radio parameters to continuously improve overall network efficiency.
- Maintain accurate site records, including equipment logs, site surveys, and detailed test results.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for management concerning network performance and ongoing technical issues.
- Collaborate closely with network engineers, technicians, and external vendors to implement upgrades.
- Ensure all field activities align strictly with project timelines and organizational quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all assigned sites.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements regarding RF emissions and licensing.
- Possession of an SSCE, NCE, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven, hands-on work experience in a similar field radio or telecommunications role.
- Strong understanding of RF principles, antenna alignment, and 4G LTE network architecture.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse field environments and adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
