About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses, providing payment, banking, credit, and management tools. We are currently looking for a results-driven Field Credit Officer to join our dynamic team in the South East region of Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in onboarding viable businesses, growing our loan portfolio, and maintaining profitability by ensuring timely loan repayments. You will leverage innovative tools and evaluate the 5Cs of credit, prioritizing capacity, character, and capital to make informed lending recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and onboard viable businesses within your assigned geographical area to open business accounts with Moniepoint.
- Engage customers to ensure optimal account usage, enabling them to qualify for access to credit products.
- Review and make sound decisions on loan requests by thoroughly analyzing all available financial data.
- Conduct physical visits to potential borrowers' business locations for evaluation, taking inventory, business books, and turnover into consideration.
- Meet gross loan portfolio and profitability targets by maintaining a healthy, performing customer base.
- Monitor active loan portfolios to guarantee continued business account usage and excellent repayment performance.
- Perform additional credit-related tasks as assigned by management.
- Minimum of an OND in any business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in credit sales within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of credit risk analysis and basic financial evaluation.
- Must reside in your preferred location across Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, or Imo states, with the location clearly indicated on your CV.
