About the Role

As a Field Credit Officer based in Edo, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial inclusion by identifying, onboarding, and managing viable businesses that require credit facilities. You will leverage our innovative technology tools to assess credit risk, monitor business performance, and ensure healthy loan repayment rates, directly contributing to our mission of empowering African businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and onboard viable businesses within the Edo region to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Conduct thorough physical site visits to potential borrowers' business locations to evaluate operations, review books, and assess inventory and turnover.
- Analyze credit applications meticulously, focusing on the 5Cs of credit with special emphasis on capacity, character, and capital.
- Approve or decline loan requests based on comprehensive data analysis and make strategic recommendations to management.
- Meet and exceed gross loan portfolio and profitability targets while maintaining a healthy, low-risk, and performing portfolio.
- Monitor active loans continuously to ensure timely repayments and sustained account engagement.
- Minimum of an OND in a business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven sales experience dealing with credit products within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of credit risk analysis and basic financial evaluation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent interpersonal skills.
