About the Role
Committed To Good (CTG) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Cook to support critical humanitarian and development operations in Dikwa, Borno State. In this role, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of hygiene, and providing quality meals for staff in a fast-paced environment. This short-term assignment offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful humanitarian efforts in Northeast Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute weekly food and beverage plans for the Dikwa Humanitarian Hub.
- Prepare timely supply requests and thoroughly inspect all delivered ingredients to meet high-quality standards.
- Maintain impeccable personal hygiene and enforce strict kitchen cleanliness, equipment sanitation, and food safety protocols.
- Oversee daily kitchen and dining area operations, ensuring smooth service and proper waste management.
- Continuously innovate and update the menu to offer a diverse and appealing variety of meals.
- Collaborate effectively with field hub management, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Relevant higher education background in catering, hospitality, or a related field.
- Proven previous experience working as a cook or in a similar culinary capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Fluency in English, alongside Hausa and/or Kanuri.
- Proactive mindset, strong teamwork abilities, and a fast-learning aptitude.
